Petroleum and Mining Engineering Pty Ltd (PAME) completes 63.9km Sole Development Pipeline Project to support Subsea 7 Australia Reel-Lay installation, offshore Victoria Australia.
PAME’s scope of work encompassed project management and engineering associated with the establishment of a self-sufficient Mobile Spoolbase at the Crib Point Terminal (Western Port Bay, Victoria) complete with a 1500m pipe stalk laydown area. PAME took receipt of approx. 5350 lengths of 12.2m (12”) linepipe prior to welding, AUT inspection and IntelliCOAT ® Field Joint Coating (FJC) within a dedicated 200m Firing-Line. Forty Three (x43) 1500m rigid pipe stalks were fabricated and tested by PAME, prior to manipulating stalks via in-water roller boxes to the stern mooring position of a dedicated Reel-Lay Vessel. PAME also completed the onshore and offshore tie-in welding, testing and FJC. The Sole gas field is located in the eastern part of the Gippsland Basin, approximately 40km offshore Victoria. The Sole Development Project undertaken by Cooper Energy (Sole) Pty Ltd consists of the subsea tie-back of two wells to the Orbost Gas Plant. |
