Petroleum & Mining Engineering (PAME) is proud to announce the ‘Approval’ of the first Western Australian Reel-Lay Pipeline Spoolbase. Strategically located to service Western Australia’s offshore industry, the PAME Spoolbase will provide the fastest and most efficient method of fabricating offshore pipelines.
The PAME Spoolbase development approved by the Pilbara Port Authority (PPA) comes complete with a 1.5km pipe-stalk laydown area, a 200m fabrication firing line and considerable pipe storage. Equipped with multiple welding stations capable of manual, semi-automatic and automatic welding, together with purpose-built NDT stations, Field Joint Coating stations and a horizontal tensioner. The Spoolbase facility has the unique ability to adapt to projects such as pipe-in-pipe, rigid subsea flowlines & risers using various materials such as CRA (corrosion-resistant alloy) lined, duplex, super duplex, and all grades of carbon steel pipe. PAME’s Spoolbase has access to a deep-water berth and mooring to facilitate all vessel loading/unloading and enables fast transit operations in order to optimise project schedules. PAME’s Multi-user Spoolbase facility aims to boost Western Australian manufacturing and support our highly skilled Australian workforce. |
